Instructions For Mp3 Call

After removing your call from the box, inspect for any obvious damage. You must notify me immediately if you find damage to your calling system. Next, remove the 4 screws securing the lid on the black preamp box and install an alkaline 9 volt battery. Remove the back from the mp3 player and install the provided AAA battery. ( Note that the right hand end of the player has a removable cap that exposes the USB plug. This must be removed prior to removing the battery cover.) Connect the mp3 player to your computer either by the included cord or by plugging it directly into one of your computer's USB slots. Your computer should read the player as an external drive without installing the included cd driver software. If it does not, install the cd. Otherwise, it will not be necessary to install the cd. Create a folder on your computer in which to store mp3 Call Sounds. These are obtained from my web page or a variety of other pages and sources. To download a file to your computer MP3 folder, right click on the file and select: ("Save Target As"). You will then be prompted to select a location on your computer to copy the file to. Select the folder you created for the file downloads. The file will then be copied to that destination folder. Pay particular attention to the file format when downloading. Many files are .wav files. Although the player will play a .wav file, it is better to convert them to MP3 format for ease of storage. You can download the free MP3 converter software located on my Sounds download page. Select the call you wish to place on the MP3 unit and right click the file. Select the Send To option and then the drive letter indicating the MP3 player. It is just that simple. The file is now on the player and ready to be used. The calls are stored in the music folder on the mp3 player by default. Press the toggle lever on the mp3 player in to select the highlighted folder on the screen. You will then see the calls, and can switch from call to call by pressing the toggle forward or backward. After selecting the call sound you want, press the play button on the front of the player. Pressing in on the toggle while a sound is playing will give you the option to choose repeat one, or repeat all.. The repeat one function is necessary for short files that do not play long enough to create an effective call sequence. By selecting the repeat one function, a short file is seamlessly played repeatedly until you pause or stop the call. This gives the effect of a continuous longer file. Adjust the volume and get ready to shoot! Please email me with any questions about using your call.

Thanks,
